Luxury Wedding Photography - Preserving Emotion and Moments
Being from a small-town in eastern Kentucky (Paintsville), I deeply understand the art of storytelling. Creating art is part of our heritage. It's a right of passage to us. Passed down from many generations before us, whether it's music, writing, quilting, woodworking, painting or taking photos, art resonates with us deeply. Some might say they would never want to live in these mountains, but I cannot think of a more beautiful and rich place to call home. Our hills are rugged in the most beautiful way. Our people are resilient and resourceful. When you combine the people with the backdrop, I am awestruck every time. There is something magical about this place and I thoroughly enjoy capturing it.
What is soulful storytelling? It's an art form that transcends snapshots. My photography style is emotional. My number one focus is on capturing how you FEEL (of course I will also be there to tuck away stray hairs, hype you up and be your emergency supply of bobby pins or extra tissues). But my priority lies in capturing your most intimate, raw and real moments so you can relive them forever through photos.
Why soulful storytelling matters - In a world inundated with fleeting images and disposable content, soulful storytelling stands out as a beacon of authenticity and depth. It's the difference between a photograph and a work of art, between a memory and a masterpiece. For couples embarking on the journey of a lifetime, investing in soulful storytelling means entrusting their most precious moments to a photographer who understands the profound significance of their love story. It's about capturing not just what happened, but how it felt – the laughter, the tears, the moments that take your breath away.
